Born in Singapore, raised in Malaysia, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Dubai; travelling is in my blood and “it’s complicated”, my motto. I love languages, books, history and discovering new countries and cultures. These experiences allowed me to gain a different view on the world and have fuelled my passion for storytelling.

I obtained my Bachelor of Law at the University of Leicester in 2018 and I knew that journalism would be a perfect match for me as I developed the desire to tell other people’s stories and “take a stand” to help bring about social change anywhere in the world. I aspire to become a war correspondent and to be able to help give a voice to those who need one. I have published poems at the University of Leicester student magazine and participated in spoken word poetry competitions and events and run a satire travel blog.
